The Charlotte Engineering Early College Senior EXPO is the premiere showcase event for 12th-grade students at the Charlotte Engineering Early College and the Charlotte Teaching Early College. The class combines the curriculum from English IV and Project Lead the Way: Engineering Design and Development (in the case of the engineering program students). Teams of students have devoted the last four years of their education to figuring out how to problem-solve using the engineering design process. The Charlotte Early College Senior EXPO, held each year in the Spring, is the public event where the students showcase this knowledge and their year-long design and development projects.

To succeed, the projects require ingenuity, creativity, and sustained focus throughout the school year. Groups work with peers and professionals as they go through the development of their unique products. Community involvement is key to our students’ success.
